ASCD is an organization that provides quality support for school district instructional staff focused on students. ASCD does not deal with governance issues, but it does provide resources to help administrative staff deal with instructional issues that contribute to the achievement of the board’s Results policies.
AASA is the sister organization to NSBA, providing leadership training and development for superintendents and their administrative staffs. Like NSBA, it does good work in keeping professionals aware of current trends and legislation and provides quality professional development. We have enjoyed speaking at their conventions and encouraging staff who “need a better way to work with their boards” to consider Coherent Governance®.”
Great work is being done with districts and their staff leadership that focuses on Results for student achievement at the strategic level.
